OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapy sees patients for who they are in life.  We see a student, a mother, a teacher, an electrician, a musician, an athlete, etc. Occupational therapists do not see a condition, but instead see a person. Our occupational therapist treats patients suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis to a traumatic injury to the hand which requires extensive reconstructive surgery.  He believes in empowering patients through patient education and actively involving the patient in treatment planning because they are the ones whose life has been interrupted.

Occupational Therapy helps to restore motion, strength, and dexterity in the upper extremity but it focuses mainly on restoring a patient's ability to complete the tasks of their daily life that define who they are. Here at MIDSTATE Therapy Services, our therapist employs the use of modalities, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, ADL training, custom splinting, taping, and other treatment approaches to give you back your life.
